A new project: Knolling
I am currently working on a new practical project, stemming from my time in Jamaica working alongside many talented artists both student and staff. It takes inspiration from the practice of knolling, a process whereby items are placed onto a flat surface in a regimented and thought out style. The first example is below, due to the time needed for setting out the items for the shoot it may be some time before final edits of other images are finished.
The end goal is to create a series, detailing the tools and items used by artists and practitioners in their work here in Jamaica which have been arranged in a knolled style. The first example comes from my own basic camera kit when travelling to and from work (though only on days where I am not expecting/planning a shoot, more examples of that to follow).
