Next Neon Nightmare
In continuing the work from my previous Neon series, more work has been done with the assistance of two new models from the staff at Edna Manley College (Marvin George and Stefan Clarke). The first example is Mr George, using a simple red wash fired over a 10 second exposure at several different points and directions to the subject. In post-production a slight split-toning has been achieved to create a purple tint to the shadows and background, helping provide a greater sense of depth in the image.
In this next image (of Mr Clarke) an additional gel has been used, namely the yellow gel which in post-production has been altered to a deeper orange to mimic the contemporary cinematic lighting styles and colouration. The blue gel has also been adjusted slightly to produce a more teal coloured tint.
I have some further plans for this series, including more models and lighting styles for the project before moving to include some more intrusive post-production manipulation.
